With Garnier Nutrisse, colouring your hair at home is easy and pleasant! Please always refer to the product for full safety instructions

ALWAYS DO A PATCH TEST 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF USING ANY COLOURANTS PRODUCTS.

2 WHAT IF ONLY MY ROOTS NEED COLOURING?

For instructions on how to touch up your roots visit the How to use section or see the instruction leaflet in pack.

3 HOW CAN I AVOID STAINS AROUND MY HAIRLINE?

Try applying moisturiser or petroleum jelly to your skin before applying the colour, then use warm water and cotton wool to wipe away any excess.

4 DO I NEED TO DO AN ALLERGY ALERT TEST?

Yes, you must do an allergy alert test 48 hours before every colour application, even if you have previously used the product with no problems. If you react to the test or have previously experienced sensitivity to hair colours, do not go ahead and colour your hair. To find out more visit www.becoloursafe.com

5 HOW OFTEN CAN I COLOUR MY HAIR?

We recommend that you can reapply the colour every 4-6 weeks

6 HOW CAN I AVOID ORANGE/GOLDEN TONES?

Lightening the hair can bring out its natural warm undertones. If you're worried about this, make sure you choose a shade with less 'reflect'. See 'What do the shade numbers mean' under the 'Help choosing a colour' section

7 HOW DO I ACHIEVE A REALLY VIBRANT RED HAIR COLOUR

Achieving a vibrant red result really depends on your previous hair colour, natural colour and choice of colour. Choose a shade with intense reflects. Contact our customer service experts on 0800 085 4376 for further advice.

8 SHOULD I USE SHAMPOO TO RINSE OUT THE COLOURANT?

No, when you rinse the hair, the colour will act as a shampoo. For best results, use the conditioner after rinsing, and then again when the water runs clear.

9 HOW LONG SHOULD I RINSE MY HAIR FOR AFTERWARDS?

We recommend you apply a little water to your hair and gently massage to emulsify the colourant. Then rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear. Pay particular attention to your hairline and behind your ears

1WHICH COLOUR WILL WORK BEST ON ME?+

Avoid anything more than two shades darker or lighter than your current colour. If your hair is already coloured, we recommend you only go darker as it's difficult to lighten coloured hair. If your skin's warm or olive in tone, try a warmer hair colour. Cool and rose complexions work well with cooler shades.

2WHAT DO THE SHADE NUMBERS MEAN?

Like all Garnier shades, the Nutrisse range is labelled according to base colour and reflect. The first 'base' number tells you its lightness (1-10 from black to very light blonde). The second, after the dot, is called the 'reflect' (1-6 from ash to red) and shows how 'warm' or 'red-toned' the colour will be.

3CAN I USE NUTRISSE ON HAIR EXTENSIONS

Many hair extensions have coatings which may act as a barrier to colour taking fully. You may wish to perform a strand test to see the likely end result. Contact our customer service experts on 0800 085 4376 for further advice.

4CAN I CREATE AN OMBRE OR DIP DYE EFFECT WITH NUTRISSE?

This depends on your chosen colour, natural and existing colour, and technical skill. Contact our customer service experts on 0800 085 4376 for further advice.

5WHAT IF I'VE GOT GREY HAIR?

Shades with more intense reflects (e.g. reds) tend to deliver less grey coverage than other shades. See 'What do the shade numbers mean' under the 'Help choosing a colour' section

6CAN PREGNANT WOMEN USE HAIR DYE?

Hair colours can be used when pregnant. Ask your GP or midwife, or contact our customer services team on 0800 085 4376 if you have any queries.

7WHAT DOES THE OIL IN NUTRISSE DO?

The oils in Nutrisse protect against dryness and add shine, leaving silky, glossy hair.

8WHAT IF I'VE GOT DIFFERENT COLOURS IN MY HAIR?

If you have different colours in your hair due to previous colour applications, the end result could vary depending on your chosen shade. Contact our customer service experts on 0800 085 4376 for further advice.

9CAN I USE NUTRISSE OVER EXISTING COLOUR OR HIGHLIGHTS?

Yes. But the results will vary depending on the colour you have chosen. Follow the advice in 'Which colour would work best on me?' or contact our customer service experts on 0800 085 4376 for further details.

10WHAT HAIRSTYLES CAN I USE TO DISGUISE ROOTS UNTIL I HAVE TIME TO TOUCH UP?

Try experimenting with hair accessories such as headbands.

11WHAT IF I'VE GOT DRY HAIR?

Dry hair will tend to absorb more colour and get darker results. You may need to vary the development time. You can contact our customer service experts on 0800 085 4376 for further details.

12WOULD MY HIGHLIGHTS EFFECT THE RESULTS?

Your results will be affected by your natural or current dyed colour(s).
