The Overall Product Environmental Impact score is a L’Oréal Group scoring system considering the impact of a product over its entire life cycle, taking multiple environmental factors such as water resource, quality and acidification, land resources, biodiversity, air quality, ozone and climate change into consideration. Using this system, the overall environmental impact of a product has been compared to other L’Oréal Group products in the same category. For example, shampoos with an “A” score have the lowest Overall Environmental Impact compared to shampoos with an ‘E” score which have the highest Overall Environmental Impact.
