great colour and coverage
After buying once, I bought it in bulk as I loved it so much and have been dying my roots with this for the last year. I have a lot of grey and am especially white in the front. This dye has really excellent coverage. Be aware that it is a level 4, which is very dark, if you're unsure how dark, google 'hair level chart' this affects vibrancy, so a fire engine red would be red pigment on a base of light blonde like a level 7 or 8, so this box, being lev 4 is for a very dark red-violet. I love a good rv, a blue-tinged red that fades pink not orange and this is the closest I've gotten from a box dye, and salon dyes like wella and goldwell aren't trending rv, but a more ginger red. So I love this for colour and coverage, even if it's a bit harsher on my hair than a more premium developer like goldwell. i get blonding / foils occasionly done professionally, and I'll use this on roots and Goldwell elumen pink or rv on the ends and I get lots of compliments on my hair from strangers and friends. I dont use the kit provided, I mix in in a bowl, apply witha brush and use nitrile gloves as it's just easier. I do recommend getting a box of gloves to make your life easier.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Never Again!!
I've been dying my hair red, sometimes purple for 30 years and this is one of the worst I've ever used. Despite following the instructions and applying colour to the roots with a brush (how I would normally) the distribution is uneven and the colour is a murky red/brown. I suppose the condition of my hair is ok, which is something, though after repeated washes to get the colour to fade, it may not be!
No, I do not recommend this product.

Amazing

I bought this colour rose violet yesterday and dye my brown reddish hair in the evening. I read, after bought it already, the reviews, but thought to give a try. Wasn't messy, staining, irritating at all. One box was enough for my hair, longer than shoulders. Ten out of ten. My colour is exactly like the colour on the box and I will use it again for sure
Yes, I recommend this product.

Rose violet

I bought this colour as I fancied a change, I had been colouring my hair blonde for the last few months so decided to use this rose violet colour it has come out darker than what I thought it would, especially that I applied it on bleached blonde hair it looks more of a dark violet colour but I do like it and would use it again.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Oh no. They changed the product ☹️

Here’s a list of features which have worsened:
1. The mixing bottle is now a straight narrow cylinder which slides through the hole in the box
2. The gloves are made from thinner material and split easily. Surgical gloves would work much better for this.
3. The developing cream is sloppier and hard to control when squeezing it out of the tube.
I can see how some of these things have been done to reduce the amount of plastic in single-use products (I hope) but they do not pass the usability test. If it weren’t for the excellent colours and safe (for my skin) ingredients I’d be tempted to switch to Clairol Nice and Easy Root Touch Up which is thicker, mixed in a bowl and painted on with a brush. Disappointed.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Quite disappointed

I've just dried my hair after using this dye and I'm gutted it isn't what I expected. This is my first experience using olia after using other brands for many years. The colour is just an average red and nothing like the colour on the box. The colour hasnt covered evenly despite me taking care and time to ensure my hair was covered in the dye. My hair doesn't feel as nice as it usually does after dying, but it does look shiny! I'm going to have to go and buy more dye and try again tomorrow
