How to dye your hair at home with Garnier Nutrisse Permanent Hair Dye: Always do a patch test 48 hours in advance of using any home hair dye products. Please always refer to the product for full safety instructions. Top tips for home hair dye: Use an old towel as permanent hair dye may stain it. Apply moisturising cream to your hairline to avoid staining from the permanent hair dye. Hair Dye can only lighten your natural hair colour 1 to 2 levels – check the back of pack to see if it is the right hair colour shade for you. If you have long or thick hair, use two hair dye boxes.

1. Start by putting on gloves and instantly mix the colour cream into the developer cream bottle. Shake well to mix.

2. Apply the mix in sections, starting with your roots and working through to the ends

3. Leave to develop for 25-35 mins, as stated on the instructions, depending on the result you wish to achieve.

4. Rinse until the water runs clear and apply the nourishing conditioner and rinse again.

TEMPORARY “BLACK HENNA” TATTOOS MAY INCREASE YOUR RISK OF ALLERGY.

Do not colour your hair if:

• you have a rash on your face or sensitive, irritated and damaged scalp

• you have ever experienced any reaction after colouring your hair

• you have experienced a reaction to a temporary “black henna” tattoo in the past



IGNORING AN ALLERGY CAN BE LIFE-THREATENING.

You must conduct an ALLERGY ALERT TEST 48 hours before each time you colour even if you have already used colouring products before.

So remember to buy the product 48 hours in advance. (Read and follow the instruction leaflet).

In case of any reaction or when in doubt consult a doctor before using any hair colour product.

“Developer” contains hydrogen peroxide

“Hair colourant”contains: phenylenediamines, phenylenediamines (toluenediamines), resorcinol, ammonia

• Wear the gloves supplied in the box.

• Avoid contact with eyes. Do not use to dye eyelashes or eyebrows.

• Rinse the eyes immediately and thoroughly if the product comes into contact with them.

• Rinse hair well after application.



Wait at least 2 weeks after using a relaxer, a perm or a straightening process on the hair. c

Do not use if your hair has been coloured with henna or with a progressive hair colourant

Keep out of reach of children.

    Black, not blue

    I was excited to try this as I love vibrant hair colours but decided a couple of years ago to give my naturally dark brown hair a rest from all of the bleaching. Unfortunately this has dyed my hair black with no evidence of the blue tone whatsoever. I had prepared myself for this possibility and had I not tried to achieve the dark blue then I likely would have gone black anyway so its not the end of the world but would have been nice to get even a slight hint of the blue colour. The condition of my hair feels great though and its very shiny.

    HORRIBLE. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

    As someone with dark brown asian hair, i have tried this, thinking of a dark blue colour. However, i clearly thought wrong. My hair ended up darker, with no hints of blue. In the shower, my hair was slowly ripping off, thinking it was just the hair dye, i let it be. It started feeling 'gummy', and then to the lightest touch, my hair fell apart. I was left with barely any hair, split ends on the hairs I had left, and a broken heart. I felt like my life was shredded, falling apart like my hair. I was going to a date, with what i thought would be dark black blue hair, instead a manic looking freak. I now wear coloured wigs and shaved my hair off. I wouldnt even rate this one star, but you have to. In summary, dont buy this unless you want to be bald.

    My new favourite dye

    Was looking for a dark blue dye without bleaching my dark brown hair. Previously tried Schwarzkopf and Manic Panic (one washed out after two washes and was patchy and the other bled everywhere) so I was a bit doubtful of this box dye. However after washing and still there have been absolutely no stains at all or bleeding and my hair turned into a sort of midnight blue but more blue at the crown. I don’t mind this though and absolutely love it, it’s not patchy at all and was the colour I was going for for a good price. Will buy again!

    There’s limited products out there to dye naturally Black hair, I’ve tested a few and honestly this comes out on top. Colour: hints, more of a black blue. Red does reflect more in the light. Coverage: great for greys still. Prep and usage: easy to apply, nice smell, great consistency and no drips. Aftercare: hair feels nourished, great shine. Fade Resistant: every month

    Amazing and lasting results

    This is my second time using this particular colour and still the results wowed me as much as the first time I used it. I will never go back to using the other well known brand again. The coverage is excellent and the dye itself is so easy to use, no messing around washing and towel drying hair first. When this dye says permanent, it means per any - the colour stays vibrant up until my roots start growing out unlike other brands which soon fade. Also after use my hair is so shiny and soft. Will definitely keep using!!

    Great colour, doesn’t stop bleeding when wet!

    Bought this colour to ring the changes for the summer, looks great, but two weeks after application it is still bleeding out onto my towels and even onto my clothes and pillowcases if I sweat! It’s embarrassing and I have to make sure I’m wearing dark clothes just in case the blue runs when I’m out in the sun!
